When we are free from all negativity we begin to feel positive energy in us and around us. While people going through hard times may have negative energy they don’t know who to talk to or how to talk to anybody at that point. They feel betrayed, anxious or maybe just need some alone time. This is the opposite of peace.
What is Peace exactly?
Peace is a state of mind that is free from all disturbances, where we feel that we are free from all our problems or we found a solution to all those problems. At this state we feel happy and joyful and this helps us to be mindful of things, help other’s who are going through tough times and just thanking God that he has given us a good day.
John 14:27
John 14:27 reads, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
Jesus leaves peace on earth for us to be happy! He promised us that if we have faith and trust in Him, even during the tempest storms He is mighty to save us. Therefore Jesus does not want fear to come into our lives.
Jesus’s Peace and the World’s Peace
Based on John 14:27, Jesus says that he gives us his peace. But what is his peace?
Peace given by God
Peace from heaven isn’t temporary, it’s eternal. It lasts for ever and gives us comfort over the things that we hate/fear the most. He gives us victory over Satan. We don’t have to stand and wait for him to attack us. Jesus has already given us peace from victory to withstand his attacks. We have to continue to walk through that narrow gate whatever the cost. Whatever Satan tries to throw at us we have to have eternal peace that helps us to stand back up on our feet and reach closer to God. Once we have overcome the evil attacks we would feel happy that we did it though Gods peace & grace. The same eternal peace can heal all our sins
Peace of this world
Now peace of this world is temporary and an empty promise. It’s like the promise from Satan. It will comfort us only for a short period of time. Think of it like this: Fake friends are people who are only there for us when we have good times such as being a popular / rich kid in school. While true friends are people who are there with us during the good and the bad. Real friends are like Gods nature and are true to their word at all times.
Philippians 4:6-7
Philippians 4:6-7 reads, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
This verse says that we should not be anxious or worry about anything. In every situation by prayer we can present our requests to God. And the peace of God will guard and protect our minds in Christ.
