If we start to read Psalms 128 verse 1 it says, "Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him"
The verse is trying to make us understand that Blessed are everyone who fear the Lord with their whole heart and who walk in obedience to him! So if we walk in obedience to the Lord like how Enoch and Elijah did we would be blessed by the Lord!
The next verse says, "You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessing and prosperity will be yours."
The verse is trying to explain to us that if we work hard with a rightful heart we will surely get blessings and become successful in our day to day life!
If we look at Isaiah Chapter 3 verse 10 it says, "Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their labor." Something that I have seen here is that Isaiah 3:10 & Psalms 128:2 similarly talk about eating the fruit of Labor. He has also said to us that the righteous will enjoy blessing and prosperity for all their hard work while the wicked will not.
Verse 4 is trying to say that the blessing which was mentioned in verse 1 and 2 is only for the people who believe and fear the Lord - Who put the Lord before anything else in the World. We put the cross before us and the world behind us. Everything in this world doesn't matter when we put the Lord in front of us! When we give everything we have to the Lord, the Lord will surely bless and give prosperity to everyone who put Him first!
Verse 5 & 6 speaks concerning the Israelite's, that the Lord will bless them from Zion, the people of Israel will see the blessing and prosperity all the days of their lives! They will live to see their children succeed in the world that we live in.
I would like to conclude by saying that if we put the Lord before us and the world behind us, give everything we have to the Lord and we are ready to give everything we have to the Lord we will surely get blessing and prosperity from the Lord. He will give us everything that we desire! All that the Lord is asking from us is to put Him before anything and everything in this world and preach the word of the Lord. And He will give us everything that we desire from our hearts!
God Bless,
Joshua
