Daniels Courage

Daniel was righteous in the eyes of God, no matter what he would pray to God 3 times a day whatever the consequences may be. The administrators made the king publish a rule that if anyone did not worship the king for the next thirty days would be thrown into the lion's den.

Daniel heard of this rule and went back home to pray to God as usual. Usually, when a law has been decreed, we follow it even if it means we can't do that particular activity anymore. But when the law to worship only King Darius was made, Daniel had gone back home and prayed and gave thanks to God. The administrators saw Daniel worshipping the Lord and brought him to King Darius. They told the king that Daniel had been worshipping God and was told to be thrown into the lion's den. The king had tried everything in his power to stop Daniel from going into the lion's den but there was just nothing he could do to stop it. The king was devastated and could not sleep the whole night.

When Daniel was thrown into the lion's den, the Lord's protection was with him and He had closed the mouth of the lions to make sure that Daniel didn't get injured because Daniel was proven worthy in the eyes of the Lord. He worshipped God even when he knew he would get punished because of it.

The next morning came and King Darius wanted to know if Daniel was still alive. So he had rushed to the lion's den and had called out his name, Daniel replied and the king was immediately filled with joy. He then ordered the men who had falsely accused Daniel to be thrown into the lion's den.

To summarize, We should be holy and worship God at all times, even if it means we get wounded. Whatever the reason may be we should worship God. If at any time we are to be thrown into the lion's den (trials and tribulation) God will be there to protect and help us to overcome them. We should be like Daniel here and worship God at all times. If we spend even 5 minutes with God, He will be happy and will be there to keep us safe from any harm that may occur during our day.

God Bless,
Joshua
